Our Buy Before Release Program

When shipping your precious diamonds and jewelry we here at United Diamond Buyers want you to feel safe and secure about your experience. This is why we have created our Buy Before Release Program. The Buy Before Release program is designed to keep your precious diamonds and jewelry locked up and safe while they are being examined, making it possible to get you the cash in your hand before the diamond is released.
United Diamond Buyers has partnered worldwide with shipping and surveillance vault companies, Brinks Security Services and Malca-Amit Shipping Security Systems , who represent you as the consumer. These companies are the leading providers in secured shipping and insured holding services.

“We specialize in the secure transportation and handling of your valuables throughout the logistical supply chain, from banking and precious metals to high-end jewelry and pharmaceuticals.”

“Malca-Amit is a full service courier company with a 21 year record of providing the highest quality personalized service and the most efficient logistic solutions for diamonds, jewelry, gold, coins, bank notes, and valuable documents.”

Our Agents will contact you to talk about your diamond. The more information you give us about your diamond, the better we can quote you a cash price over the phone. If you don’t know much about your diamond, don’t worry, we can work it out by asking some simple questions.

Brinks or Malca-Amit vault services is arranged. This means that now your diamond is going to be seen for inspection. You will have an account representative assigned from either of these two companies. You then send your diamond in a packaged insured shipping box to the vault. Vault services at Brinks or Malca-Amit does not open your box. We repeat… Brinks or Malca-Amit does not open your box. The box with the diamond stays in the vault.

Upon arriving to the vault, Brinks or Malca Amit contacts us to come and do an inspection of the diamond. You request and fill out an “Inspection only” form from the vault services that states that the packaged being opened, and its contents, are under full 24 hour supervision.

There are guards and videos filming the inspection, that you are entitled to. The vault services company under law is required to be liability for this package, so they are going to be extra cautious. This is where we evaluate the diamond for accuracy and quality. This is also when we are able to determine the value of the stone and give you a fair and quick offer.

When we are finished evaluating the diamond, the vault services company has to place the package back in the vault. Then they aren’t allowed to release the package unless you sign a release form. If you are happy with the cash offer, we then wire you the funds for the stone, or send a certified check.

Then you release the stone from vault services, and everyone is happy, safe, and secure.
